Israeli Forces Injure Several Palestinians in West Bank
(MENAFN) On Wednesday evening, at least ten Palestinians were wounded across multiple areas in the occupied West Bank during confrontations with the Israeli military, as reported by healthcare professionals and local informants.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), one individual sustained injuries from live ammunition in Qalandiya, situated north of East Jerusalem.
Another person was reportedly harmed in Al-Ram, a nearby town.
A state news agency reported that Israeli troops discharged tear gas near homes adjacent to a separation barrier in Qalandiya, leading to numerous residents experiencing breathing difficulties due to gas inhalation.
In a separate announcement, the PRCS noted that four individuals were shot during a military incursion into Nablus, a city in the northern West Bank. Among the injured was a 15-year-old boy struck by shrapnel.
Citing the news agency, the count of those injured in Nablus rose to eight, including three minors. Troops also deployed sound grenades and tear gas canisters in densely populated areas of the city.
The news agency added that one young man was detained, and his car was confiscated before the forces retreated from the urban center.
Eyewitnesses informed a media outlet that the military operation targeted several civic buildings, notably the Nablus Fire Department headquarters.
During the raid, multiple Palestinians were reportedly held and interrogated on the spot.
Social media users shared images showing property damage and defaced structures resulting from the incident.
