Commissioners attend ribbon cutting of BookSmiles Book Bank in Cherry Hill

The Board of Commissioners joined BookSmiles Founder and Executive Director Larry Abrams, elected officials, and community partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting of BookSmiles’ 14,000 square-foot Book Bank in Cherry Hill Township.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy, imagination, and possibilities that comes with having a book of their own,” said Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich. “BookSmiles has built an incredible resource for our region, and this facility will help them to bring even more books to the children and teachers who need them.”

BookSmiles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit helping irrigate book deserts by spreading book wealth in New Jersey and Philadelphia, since their inception in 2017, they have donated over 5 million books.
